Hey guys, I am working at trying not to use flat lighting, so here it goes, a couple pics of my pregnant wife....Any comments are appreciated. Steve

The first one- GREAT!

I have a similar image that has been in my bag (man purse) for 4 years. It's tattered and torn, but I love it. Reminds me of life before fatherhood- a completely different world. Print it, frame it, it will be special for the rest of your life. A perfect use of photography.

Nice shots Steve....I like the first one. I am taking similar pregnancy shots of my wife right now as well. Congrats on the baby :-)
I like the first one alot. I think you should remove that fold in
the backdrop on the right side of the picture. It's attracting my
attention too much.
In fact, I would use the "Burn" tool in PS and burn the background a bit (which will get rid of the fold as well).

Regards,
Mike

The first one wins for me, too. I would like to see the main light a little farther back, to give a little more shadow on the front of her round form. As it is, the very form you're trying to accentuate is still just a bit too flat for me.

Sorry, I have little to add, but I think that she looks absolutly gorgeous!!

I'm photographing my first pregnant woman tommorrow, and I hope they turn out as well. Whether the critics like the technique or not, you captured a soft, beautiful, serene moment that you should be proud of.
