Hi Everyone,

Just wondered if people had could share their favorite places for getting their pictures printed. In the past I have looked for Fuji Frontier 370 printers. Some Costco's have them and the quality was always very good. Recently, I noticed that the local WalMart had this printer so I had about 20 pictures printed. The quality was not that great. So, I just wondered if you had good experiences with any particular printers or places that you might recommend.

Thanks

I get my best results at Costco but they have a Noritsu machine, not a Fuji Frontier. I get very mixed results with the Frontier, depending on the retailer but Costco is consistently excellent. But I don't print many shots, not nearly as many as I should, especially since Costco only charges 19 cents per 4x6!

They use Konica processor and paper. Paper is more thick than cheap Fuji and Kodak IMO. I've sent them 6 test prints and they beat Ofoto prints.

Try http://www.photoworks.com they have excellent prints and they will host your online albums as long as you buy something at least once every 12 months. $2.99USD for a 8x10in and 29 cents for 4x6in. I have also used pephoto which is cheaper and the photos are nice but they don't host your pictures and I thought the colors on the same pictures done at photoworks were a little more brilliant. I am trying some 20x30in prints from pephoto.com they were only $11.99ea. I will let everyone know how they turnout when they arrive later this week.

Hey David,

Thanks for the reply. I have used Costco a lot in the past and was always pretty happy.

Shutterfly.com, Winkflash.com, Mpix.com.. all have been fantastic after 1000's of prints!! Stear clear of EZPrints.com IMHO.. Shabby cuts and packaging :(

With Pephoto it appears they do not actually do "developed" prints like many other services.. they appear (after reading their facts and website) to use special laser printers and prints are not actually developed prints but printed prints.. This process is much different then chemicl process and even dye sub process.. May have to try and see what the results are like.. But also what is the lifespan? The chemcial process done on Fuji Crystal Archival paper is like 50yrs+.
