Amazing what you can do with a D70 and old good photoshop. Have you got any stuff like this? I'd love to see them.

Very nice ! Very funny too !

Note that the man has a shade, but the dog doesn't ...

Great picture ! Worth the time in my view to perfect it and remove the man's shade (or - if practically possible, add one for the dog).

Thank you for sharing !

Here's one of my Photoshop pieces with our guinea pig Kramer...

He loves his veggies...

to be at a 45 deg angle behind the boy. If that's the case, the dog's shadow would be to the right (off of the photo, i.e., not visible).

I really like both of those pics.

If I can offer a little bit of critique, I think something looks slightly "cut out" around the feet of the model, but that is being hyper-hyper critical. Perhaps some blur, or adding a touch of shadow under it?

I think it is a wonderful shot tho, I'd be proud to do something looking anywhere near as good as that!

Cheers,
Nick.

Disagreed ! the shadow extends from the boy's feet and is very visible, therefore a little of the dog's legs shadow starting from the dog's front paws should be visible.

This type of picture is very difficult to make because this type of details.

Yes I would agree that the bottom looks cut out. I have applied some darker shadow around the dog and darkened and bluered slightly the kid

It was for fun and nothing fantastic but I have decided to send it for print and see how it looks on paper
Not with a D70, but I think it's still pretty funny:
