New DigiWallet

Just bought a Qcool yesterday and am testing it.

1. Much smaller than G2 - perhaps have the volume. The cosmetic finish is nice and smarter also, aluminum (partial) case.

2. Much slower than G2, I timed 3' 45" for a 128MB card - thus takes twice as long than the G2

3. Accept different types of cards without adapters.

4. LCD display is OK. It is a small but legible dot matrix LCD. When switched on, it shows the no. of files properly transferred last time, then the remaining capacity of the hard disk.

5. Does not allow single file transfer, nor transfer from HD to CF etc. - this is acceptable to me.

6. Transfer speed from HD to PC is also reasonable.

7. It supposed to turn itself off 15 seconds after file transfer. Mine turned off the HD after 15 seconds, but the display is on forever - locked up. I think I have a faulty set.

Thanks for that. Where did you buy it and for how much ?? I am considering myself.

Do you have a memory stick ?? I am wondering about the speed for Memory Stick Pro. It says it support it but is it using the speed of the pro sticks ??

What about battery lifes ?? Is it really 2 hours as quoted ??

I remembered somewhere that it draws power from the USB when it is connected to the PC. Is this true ( ie. no need to use the transformer unless charging ) ??

Thanks.

Damned it way too long my very old DigitalAlbum only takes 5 minutes to backup a full 512MB CF. I think I wont change it for that item. If only my DA could support Fat32 CF :(

Thats strange !
Thanks for your information!

I think you will find this is just the housing for a 2.5" drive of your choice hence the screws and screwdriver.
