Well i'm finally getting my D70 tomorrow after a 4 week wait and i feel like an expectant father, i'm so nervous. Will it have backfocus, will the viewfinder be tilted, will it have a dusty sensor, will it have all it's fingers and toes, there's so much that could go wrong but i don't care, cos it's mine, all mine and nobody elses and i will love it and spoil it rotten no matter what.

Its a shame that future owners have to see the rediculous amount of back focusing posts that appear here daily. Most of the forums are filled with people who claim backfocus and others paranoid about it. The first thing these people seem to do is want to check for back focus. Its evident in all cameras to the extent of user error but in some its an obvious calabration problem. This is apparent by taking normal photo's which will appear OOF in the majority. Its a noticable issue. Some people dont notice it, do some tests and the tests come out bad and they think they have backfocus but mostly its down to bad testing, not understanding DOF and angles when they shoot the test page.

I think the people with the BF problems shout much louder in the forums than the thousands of satisfied users that post great shots here daily.

HF with your new cameras guys, its definatly worth every penny you paid for it.

Naturally. These people just spent a couple of grand on this camera and they are forced to wait for weeks (5 weeks for me now) while their brand spanking new Nikon (read best quality) is in for repair or is waiting to be exchanged. How much does that suck? You would be more vocal too.

Good to hear... I am also happy that mine will be in tomorrow too. Now if I could only find someplace with a helipoan 67mm multi-coated uv filter.
