I go back to work tomorrow. I am so bummed out. I did go out and shot some moving images from my car... lets see how they came out.

Nope... nothing... I do have it on my CP995. But maybe is because I
use the hood and then put my hand or anything else over the lens to
protect from lens flare. The kit lens is a magnet for it because of
its construction. Any lens with exposed front elements is bound to
have it. Try Color Burning the center of the image with a LARGE
SOFT EDGE brush... low opacity... and be gentle. It works a lot of
the time to correct these effects.
Yeah, I guess it is lens flare. I wasn't using the hood. The sun was to my back in the first photo, I guessed I wouldn't need it. I guess I guessed wrong. Will no beter next time.

Thanks.

(I guess used the word "guess" far too much in this post.)

I just realized this... I know I also read about this somewhere on the web.

Most of the BETTER lenses are horrible for IR and UV photography as the lenses themselves have anti IR and UV coatings in them. For IR, the cheaper the lens (less coatings, not really chap element design) the better for IR... So use the better lenses but without the extra coatings.

Nikon's best lenses are bad for this. It is best to test test test. Have not tested the 50 1.8D yet.. but the kit lens seems to be fine... no central softness / lightness.

Worth a look.

More green sky than blue, but I'll keep working at this.

By the way, the moire on the column is not there in the original at 100%, so I'm guessing it's a JPEG artifact.

And another view:

Excellent IR photos. I want to ask if you have any experience with Tiffen IR 87. This is more IR light selective. I want to buy a filter but couldn't decided.
These are some of the coolest pictures I've ever seen. What
location were these taken in? (looks like Europe)
They were taken in Germany near Dusseldorf. Actually the towns name
is Krefeld which is near to my hometown.

Look to the left of the Action in the Action Palette. Is the checkbox checked? When I imported the action is was turned off and I had to turn it on before it worked.

-pm
It just will no go through the action at all. It just sits there
after I hit play! :-( ??? No expert here in action recording or
playback..

No, but I have experience with the Heliopan IR-830 (KODAK Wratten 87 C) which should be nearly as dark. These will not or hardly work for colour IR but very good for b&w IR because of their darkness. You only get IR and no visible light. But of cause this will need much longer exposure times. I experienced 8 Seconds instead of 1,5 with the Hoya R72 at ISO 200 and F 8.

These were taken with the IR-830:
