Hi,

I am looking for the best image sizing/printing software for the Mac similar to the functions of Qimage Pro. Can someone make a suggestion to me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jack,

I have just looked for the same info. I have a G3, OS 9.1, Epson 875DC, and Canon S10. I just wanted something simple, quick, and easy. I am learning PhotoShop 6. Neither Graphic Converter, Image Expert, Soap2, PhotoDeluxe v2, nor Epson Film Factory did what I needed.

"Frank" suggested ImageBuddy. You can Crop, Mask, View, and Layout/Print (with adjustable "templates") several DIFFERENT Images and sizes on a single sheet of paper. Can print 3 4x6 images on one letter size sheet. GOOD Altered images Cannot be Saved, just printed. It will cost $15 to register and it removes the word DEMO from the printout. It also pays the developer.

Before I found ImageBuddy from these forums 2 weeks ago, I ordered PhotoPrinter 2000 for Mac from Arcsoft. The PhotoPrinter Pro for Mac was N/A.

http://www.arcsoftdirect.com/cgi-bin/2/cs/webc.cgi/local-net/st_prod.html?p_prodid=2&p_catid=5&[email protected]

It allows easier Cropping, can Mask, Frame, View, and Layout/Print several DIFFERENT Images and sizes on a single sheet of paper with a wide variety of fixed templates. Can print 2 4x6 images on one letter size sheet, not 3. Images can also be enhanced with "special Effects". The altered images Can be Saved. This may be important to you. The CD from Arcsoft cost $19.99 plus $6.95 for shipping. Total $26.94.

Niether allows a quick fix or auto image enhancement.

This is what I am doing: Get jpg image from Dig Camera at 1280x960 onto Hard Drive. Open the jpg image and do a quick fix with PhotoDeluxe. Save the image as a TIFF since PDeluxe saves at a high, non adjustable, jpg compression level. Open the TIFF image with Photo Printer 2000 crop the image to 1260x840 (3:2 ratio) for a 6x4 print. (Or crop the image to 1260x900, a 7:5 ratio, for a 7x5 print). Move the frame over the image to keep what you want to print. Save as a "high" quality jpeg. Upload your images to an online photo company. They will already be sized. Or place the altered images into the PhotoPrinter 2000 template you select and print out various images on one sheet. The Epson 875 prints a better image than either of the three online companies I have tried. It is still pretty awkward. At least it is just two applications.

Photo Printer 2000 will Size Image, Save Image, and Print with a Mac!

Is there a single Mac application that would allow 1)a quick Fix Auto enhancement of a 1600x1200 pixel image 2)easy selectable(not automatic) cropping/ratio change for various "photo size" (ie. 4x6) 3)save image at a high quality/low compression jpg format 4)layout and print multiple different images on a single page(preferably 3 4x6)???????

Sorry for the lengthy message. Good Luck
