Can I see your photos taken with the kitty against the sun?

My wife kind of like this snapshot taken with the kit lens against the setting sun - not much flare problems.

1/125 sec., F13, ISO 100, 18 mm FC, resized, some USM, contrast adjustment and Neat Image.

I like it too. I think it's beautiful.

This is about as close as i've come to shooting the sun... was quite happy with the way this shot turned out, and if i remember correctly its as-is (as it came out of the camera)

Nice pict. Made it the Photo of the Day on the Digital Rebel Wiki:

I've been huffin' and puffin' all over the farmlands of Villadolid, Negros Occidental (southern Philippines) last weekend to get a some shots on egrets. Got over 300 shots, a few of them passable, most were trash.

I took the last flight to Manila at Bacolod Airport last Monday. Before

boarding the plane, I whipped out my 300D, snapped on the kit lens, and took a couple of quick shots at my ride home.

The second snapshot is the POTD.

P.S. - My bird shots are of course gathering electronic dust in my galleries -
victims of mediocrity amid a sea of talented bird shooters with topnotch
equipment here at dpreview forum.

Great capture. You got it at the perfect moment. A bit earlier or later, the sky colors would've been less dramatic.

Just curious, what's the thing (corrugated?) at the far right of the photo?

Some flares but I love the contrast and the colors... Kit lens, taken in my garden...

i should probably crop that out of the photo as its the edge of my
balcony!
LOL! One would never expect where great photo ops present themselves - could be thousands of miles away on a safari, or right at your balcony.

Me thinks cropping that out will further enhance the photo.
