maybe it would be fun to let everone know what you have now, what you use it for generally and what you wish to upgrade or expand to...

I will start:

Have now:

Camera: 300 D + battery grip

Flash: Canon 550 EX

Lenses: kit lens, 50mm f/1.8, 75-300 4.5-5.6 usm I, 35-105 3.5-4.5

Bag: Lowepro Mini Trekker

Storage: 1 x 128 MB scandisk and 1 x 256 Ultra II scandisk

wishlist:

eventually upgrade to 1D class

Lenses: 85 f/1.8, 135 f/2L (ordered), 200 f/2.8L USM II, 300 f/4 USM, 17-40 f/4L

Tripod: Slick Pro series

Back up: some kind of portable 40 GB storage media

Ok, so I got 1 out of 7 LOL. Im pretty happy with my setup as I don't earn a living out of my hobby. All my lenses came to a grand total of £680 and I definately have some keepers and I've learnt so much from my experiance with the 10D.

My next purchase is going to be either the 17-40 L lens or the 70-200 F4 L lens as they will just be in my budget at the end of the year.

Ah well, keep on dreaming :)

I wanted the 70-200 IS too at first, but thanks to reading in this forum i made up my mind and will go for the primes as they are faster and require less light... add a slightly better picture to it , et voila... but in the end it all depends on what you want to use it for... and how you use it...:-)

Nice... for wide angle my choice would be the canon 17-40L...

a 400 tele... that is someting nice... but it will cost some $$$ :(
