Taken this morning on my way to work.

ISO 200, F3.5, 1/50th second, 200mm focal length, handheld from the downstream side of Princes Bridge. I did very little post processing, tiny tweak of levels, resized, bit of USM, then applied "Ethereal glow" which is a photoshop action. This is the setting of the April full moon over the Geelong suburb of Highton at about 7:30 am.

Glad I don't have to get up as early for work as it looks like you are. But on the other hand I obviously miss some nice shooting opportunities. Nice picture.

Fred,

I normally get up at 5:30 am and am driving off to work at 6:00 am.

Currently it is school holidays and everything is later in my household so I am not getting up till 6:00 am and leaving at about 6:30 am. This has just made me realise that the time in the A2 doesn't change for daylight savings, the EXIF time was 7:30 am, but in actual fact it was 6:30 am. I have now corrected the time in the camera. It is great being up early, I love the quiet stillness, even on weekends I like to be up and about early.

The early light is often special too, with mists and fog still hanging around at the right time of year.

g'day peter - ahhhh yes early mornings.... i'm allergic to rising early - the only time i see dawn is if i work all night - not uncommon - and, as u say the stillness, and quality of light can be breathtaking. - great capture of the moon... a pity you didn't have a strong fill flash ;-)
