Hi.

I went for a drive today out to a small town about 2 hours drive away, On the way I pulled over the side of the road for a break & saw this spider on the side of the road, I quickly grabbed my Pro1,

I set the camera to Super Macro mode than focused using AF on the spider, but the wind was just blowing so hard, so the spider was moving all over the place,. I did not think it would turn out sharp so I only took one photo, not expecting it to be sharp at all. I honestly thaught it would of been a delete job when I got home. but to my amazement it was perfectly sharp. I was surprised,

The spider was about 6 feet of the ground in a spider web, It was blowing a gale & I was hand holding the camera.

This camera surprises me more everyday.

Excellent shot in the circumstances you described. Well done.
Regards Rod

Great shot Phillip! The image shows up here just fine for what it's worth. That is a mean looking spider! How large is it in real size? Looks like something that might give me nightmares. LOL :))

kindest regards
Dale

focus looks a bit soft. didn't think of trying flash? lacks composition and looks like just another backyard shot.

that shot was a spur of the moment shot, handheld, in windy conditions.......can you show us a shot that you have done in those conditions that is better?

Funny, I thought it was just another backyard shot. Thanks for your critical eye, I'm sure we'll all learn a lot from you.

LOL,

I thought it was pretty good myself.

I know the composition is not the best, If I was to print this I would crop it a bit.

Not a bad idea about the flash, No didn't think of it. I will next time.
