Minolta Z2 (or Z1)

My wife would like one of these and I have seen it in local stores. Does anyone have any experience about this camera to share?

I bought a Z1 3 months ago just so I had a camera for recording the odd lifeboat launch or other interesting event - found that I don't go anywhere without it now. Takes good pictures even at full zoom and has a good macro mode - very happy with it.

Took this today - windy, dull horrible day but the camera got a good shot - the crabs are allive !

I've had my Z1 for about 11 weeks. Will be taking photo number 5000 this weekend. You can check out some of the pictures I took at my photo site. All were taken with the Z1.

The changes they made in the Z2 are not enough to make me give up the Z1.

I think it will come down to cost. With the Z2 out now the prices of the Z1 will drop. I am thinking of getting another Z1.
