PSG 2 first impressions

What I do, is sync the slides to the music then if I want just one second on the transitions I select all slides and change the two seconds to one then add one second to the slide time, while all slides are selected, so all the slide times are one second longer making the entire length of the show still the same.

Also, I've had trouble fixing transition times to a fixed number.
Every time I do that and then resync the music the transistion time
changes back to 2 seconds. I'm sure there's just a step I'm
missing. How are you fixing the transition time to 1 sec.?
I'm trying to figure out the same thing. If I want the transition
time at 0 for some slides, when I sync the sound track, they all
reset to 2 sec.

Paul, I had e-mailed them a while back suggesting they do that. They said they will put that on their list of site improvements. Perhaps if a few others also e-mail the same suggestion then the idea might get pushed up higher on their to-do list? ;-)

I have e-mailed Josh my problems and he is working on them. I have
many more, and as I listen to you all, so do you. I think it is
important that they know of all the issues we are having.
Martin
If it was that important to them, you'd think they would run their
own forum to get feedback.

Thanks Dennis, I'll give that a try.

At this point I went to dinner. I returned after a couple of hours to
find that it had actually finished burning the DVD and the computer
screen was again visible. Thereafter I was able to make several
more DVD copies w/o re-rendering the video.

I have a 3 month old Dell 2.8 Pent. 4 with 1 gig of memory. I
reported this to Photodex and hope that they can work out the bugs
in what otherwise is a great program.

Just installled vers. 2 and tried to replicate a slideshow I've
made with Memories on TV.
My first impression is that it was much easier to automatically
turn out a decent finished product with Memories on TV but if you
fiddle with the settings a little, you have much more scope for a
better slideshow with PSG2, specially when you learn to mix effects
like rotate and fade at the same time. I haven't tried to burn a cd
yet.
Looks promising, what's your first impression?
--I developed a 130 photo slide show without any problems and it works very well on TV. How do I move and change text color in menus? I am still using 1523.

Bill,

As for as the sync question, I do it just as Dennis described. As for the burning of mulitple copies, if I don't close the show, but just continue to burn more DVD's it doesn't repeat the rendering process.

Jim
How are you able to make additional copies without re-rendering? I
have had pretty good success in rendering and burning a dvd, but if
I try to burn another dvd, it starts the whole rendering process
all over again. The only way I've found to be able to make
additional copies is to create an iso image file and then burn with
nero 6. I'd much rather stay within proshow and do everything in
one step. MOTV works that way, an easy process that I like.

Also, I've had trouble fixing transition times to a fixed number.

That did the trick. Thanks again, Dennis.
