Trying to decide between these two backpacks for airline travel and general lugging for my laptop, D100, 70-200VR, 24-120VR, TC-IIE, and maybe a prime or two.

Any feedback on quality, convenience, features, comfort, etc. would be appreciated.

Looks like on e-bay I can get the Computrekker for $75-100, where the Tamrac is probably twice as much. Price probably won't be a consideration, but my upper limit is $200. Any others I should consider?

Thanks all.

I recently purchased the Computrekker for a trip to Trinidad and Tobago in the caribbean. It was very convenient in terms of size and weight, and I was astounded by the number of little pockets and gizmos (rainhood, especially) on the bag. It fit my 24-85G, 60mm, 180/2.8, 300/f4 AFS, D100, and powerbook 15" quite comfortably. Quality is top notch, comfort is quite good (except on the way home nursing a serious sunburn!) :). Hope this helps!

I just bought the Nature Trekker today for exactly the same job. The shop had the Computrekker too but I wasn't convinced it was big enough. The Nature Trekker doesn't have a dedicated laptop slot, but it has enough space to be able to squeeze a laptop in anyway, and room for the other bits like power supply.

Worth looking at IMHO.

Hi;

I bought fews ago, the mini trekker, but my laptop couldn't fit in it. So I exchanged it for a computrekker, now all my gear fits in it plus my 15.4 laptop.

Everything is now in a safe place, only my back doesn't appreciate carrying all this stuff, indeed it is really confortable even fully loaded.

I have the 5259 loaded with Mac Powerbook 15.4 - D100 and 5 lenses including 70-200vr with 1.4 tc, sb80, cp5700, and all chargers for Mac, 2 camera batteries, and nicads. . . .and oh yeah, I think I will be able to fit the Nikon D3S when its released. Fits in the overhead, too
