Enough is enough!!!

Regit,
Very nice pics of our quokkas, I'm impressed.

I would be more impressed if you could post some pics of a Yowie or maybe a Dropbear or two....... :)))

Cheers,
Rob.

Besides being tremendously cute, these little critters seem to make excellent subjects. You really did a nice job with these, Regit, and as has been said before, #2 and #4 are very special shots.

Most hearty congratulations on a fabulous job!

Ron
Not about the D70 posts though :) Here's the story for today...

Went down to Rottnest Island today for a little R&R. This little
island is a habitat for the endangered quokkas. For those who are
not familar with these small marsupials which, look like tiny
kangaroos; here's a shot:

While they are wild, they are very adapted to human presence. They
are very friendly ... almost too friendly!!!!

I'm a very tolerant man, and I said to myself, "that's alright" ...
but when he decided to make for my "other possessions" ...

I said "Enough is enough"; and we left the quokkas high-and-dry in
a haste. No wonder they are endangered ... i.e. becoming more
dangerous!!!

This story is off course not true :) Quokkas are very adorable in
every sense ... Vote for a split between quokkas and squirrels!!!

Great shots, greats story .. I see that the first shot has a very shallow DoF ... only the head was in focus, the body was not... how did you do it ??? thanks.

Down with the squirrels, long live the quokkas; down with the squirrels, long live the quokkas!!!!

Of course, I failed to mention that I've yet to see a single squirrel in Australia yet!!! I think things may change quite a bit if I see one :)

Jokes aside .... I love squirrels too ... at least shots of them :)
That last one is very nice Regit. I like that sort of composition.
And those things are cute. Can we have more marsupials and less
squirrels for a month?

You're too kind :) Master I'm not, but I just like to try various different angles with different lenses.

Glad that these brightened your day for you :) May I ask "what" already brigthen your day? A new lens perhaps? :))))
Great shots, Regit. Certainly brightened my day...which is already
bright anyway...so that's saying a lot. Thanks for the Quokkas and
the fun.

Regards,

Paul

What's wrong with engineers!!! :)))

To be fair, I'm not sure if I'm one though :) The only thing that I do that's even close to that is software engineering ... while that's recognised in Australia as a engineering degree, many countries still don't :(

But hey, engineers can tell great stories; ask Marek :)))))
Can't believe you are an engineer :-))

Glad you got a chuckle out of these :) As for swiss squirrels, did you try swiss chocolate to lure them? :))))

Great to hear from you again :)
...and I loughed my head off when reading your text !!!
These little animals really are adorable... wish the swiss
squirrels were as friendly... I didn't get ONE good shot of them
until now...

... about the term "wild". What I'm trying to say with that notion is that they live in the wilderness ... not that they are "wild" by nature/characteristic; on the contatry, they are very tamed in fact :)

I apologise for the wrong choice of words.
the second ( though I don´t like that "wild" animals become pets )
and number 4 are special.

To be very honest with you, this is the first time I see them "up-close and (too) personal" :) They are indeed, very adorable creatures :)

My wife actually wanted to "smuggle" one home, LOL :)))))
well done story as usual as well... I have never seen one of those
adorable little animals.. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Thank you for the kind words and glad you think the quokkas are cute :) ... because we think the same of them as well :)

They roam everywhere in Rottnest Islands and if ever come to Perth, give them a visit :)
Great shots, Regit! Those little critters are mighty cute, too.

... the island is just about the place to see quokkas; there's a couple in the zoo though, but they are nothing like those in Rottnest :) Not sure about the rest of Australia, but I'm sure they are scattered all over :)

Thank you for looking :)
Sooooo cute! Is this island the only place they are located, or are
they in other areas of the country? I've never heard of them!

I love that last shot, the perspective is great.
