Let us share our pics taken just after the sunset. Sometimes such pics have additional quality to them due to unusial lightning conditions. For example, this nature pic if taken during the daytime would be fairly uninteresting

Another pic is taken in a big city. It mixes artificial and natural light in just about equal proportions

Here's mine.

Taken late last year of the Earthshine moon and venus setting over
the Yahoo! building in the Santa Clara Valley.

I always enjoy a nice Wide-Angle sky shot with a beautiful foreground.

You accomplished both very nicely.

I also feel that the moment just after the sun has set is more beautiful as the clouds exude a rich orange and red glow. And as you say, the balance is just nice when the natural light and artificial light are in equal proportion.

This is a picture of a coastal beach after sunset showing the glowing clouds:

This picture shows the lights from the ship balanced with the remaining light in the night sky:

And this shows the lamps at a jetty balanced with the night sky:

I envy you. Tell me how many frames you made to get this one? I visited your galleries, some of your pics are really amazing. And, I realized that you have an exceptional command of Photoshop. Therefore I tried my best to find some signs that your seagull pic is created from two separate pics in PS. But, I failed to find such a sign. Whatever, a really great pic

P.S. I love your country an I have visited it a few times. You have a lot of eyecandy, as they say.

It doesn't compare with some others here, but it's the best I could do so far.

Thats truly unusual contribution! Borders with abstract painting. Is it a kind of moss? Icy precipitation on the grass along the forest path? Where it is taken? You have a fantastic eye and great imagination

Thanks for sharing
