SONY F828 - why no user reviews on this site?

Now that the SONY F828 has been out for a while, I am wondering why there are no user reviews on this site??? It is nice to read Phil's full review, but I always look forward to reading actual user reviews. But there are none??
 
You must be new here! hehehehe. This page has been, almost exclusively, 828 posts and reviews.
I am sure a search for "828" would be rejected because of too many results.

That is not my question! When I go to camera & select SONY, I get Phil's full review and no user reviews. If, as an example, you select Olympus E-!, you get 31 user reviews.

I know what people on this forum think about the F828. I would like to read the user reviews, like on any other camera.

What he means is that when you go to

... here are no user opinions there.

When you go to
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Sony/sony_dscf717.asp
... there are plenty of user opinions.

Some folks prefer the mini-review format rather than all the flotsam and jetsam of the forums.

Being a "Literal Man" myself, I will admit I did not answer your first question directly. I can't think of any reason. Maybe they all used foul language regarding PF and had to be removed, hehheheheee

And as Uly said, the reviews are much easier to get info than wading through all the posts here.

I don't think the user reviews are worth much, because it's so easy for people with agendas to post misleading comments.

Rick,

You should know that this forum (STF) is a little jumpy about the 828. There has been so much bashing about it by trolls that this group can get overly defensive about it.

As for no user reviews, I guess we have been too busy enjoying our cameras to be bothered with reviewing them.
Stick around you can learn a lot on STF.

All I did was ask a simple question. I am not bashing the F828. I own a SONY F828 and love it. I think it is a wonderful camera. I just thought it was odd that there are no user opinions/reviews on the F828, while other new cameras do (like the E-1 has 31 user reviews). It does not make much sense to me.

I did not say you were bashing anything. I was just saying that STF has been under seige for a while. The 828 has drawn a lot of fire, IMO people may have expected too much. And others will just attack it to stir us up.

I think some here were doing their own reviews by posting excellent photos on the forum.

Going back to your original question, I am guilty of not posting a review, as for the others I cannot say for sure. Maybe we just needed some prodding to remember that we can post our own reviews. That said I am still putting my 828 through a full workout. The more I use the camera the better my results have been getting. I love using this cam, I just wish I had more time to get out an play with it.

Most people new to the site will look at the camera section first and check out Phil's full review and user comments & opinions. It sure beats going through thousands of posts on the forum. Why doesn't someone start this thing going and put a user review/opinion in the camera section??
