Is it possible to combine filters in 555 as it did (or seemed to) in 33L?

E.g. black&white picture with red roses or something like that.

From my test was that it just let's you select one color then the whole picture is filtered with that color.

--I think you can do like a picture mode with a color filter....You just have to set the camera that way...I think I once did sunset with B & W.

no you cant.... unfortunately this filter is not in the 555.

From the specs, this and other similar features are in the new S40
eg/ B&W w red; B&W w blue etc.

Technically, you can apply more than one filter by using the in-camera editing features on a photo you have taken and saving the result, then applying another filter, etc. This will not achieve what you were hoping for in your example, and I have no idea what the outcome would be if you applied several filters in succession. Any of this manipulation is probably easier with software in the computer anyway.
