With the caveat that I haven't begun to read all the responses to this thread, I have to ask the obvious - are we going to see before, during, and after photos?! I mean, you have to admit that it kinda lends itself to documentation, right? Plus, they have to be consistent shots so that we can REALLY guage your inevitable success! So you will need to wear form-fitting fashion!

Good luck to you. I wish I had the will-power to do the same. My son went off to college at his heaviest weight ever (over 350), then made the decision that he needed his body to match his mind. He came home at 180. Now I don't want to enclose HIS before and afters in a public forum (although I am as proud as can be) but if you want to send me your e-mail address (this name on AOL), I'll send them to you - maybe a little inspiration to go along with the camera housing!?

Good luck with your quest. I think you have made some great steps in setting a goal along with a reward for acheiving it.

I have no intention of entering into any controversy about particular diet or exercise plans, but it seems "eat less" and "exercise more" is a good philosophy. It has worked for me in losing 10 kg (22 pounds ??) in the last three months.

(Hubby loves the stuff!) Nah, I couldn't really do that but it is fun to think about it. 30 lbs. off will put me at what I weighed when we got married.
