DX6490 lens adapter INFO

Here is the official information on the new DX6490 lens and lens adapter.

The DX6490 lens adapter will support 55mm lenses and filters. There is currently no information on the Kodak website, but please be patient, There will be a listing of compatible lenses that Kodak will be selling shortly.

I beleave I called it in one of my earler posts. Well, almost. I said that February would become March and then March would become April. Ok so I was wrong. It went from February to April. Now I suppose April will become August. Boy, this is really getting frustrating.

The new Canon S1 IS is not in the market and they alreadu have lenses, filters and even a subacuatic case for this camera.

Kodak should learn from them. I also requested Kodak the target date for release lenses and filters for the 6490 and they gave me "early february".

mmm... something doesnt work right at Kodak?

I'd like an tele-extender but for a camera that already has 10x optical I doubt I'd get much use out of it. Wide angle adaptor would be nice as long as it is not huge (ie: the 28mm add-on for the Nikon 5700 is massive, lol)

As for filters, I have no need for them but, that is just me.

Sorry for the frustration, but the lens adapter will be availble the first week of April and this is a definate.

Yes, they have been listed for 2 to 3 weeks now. Being listed and being there for someone to purchase are two different things.

Just spoke to my camera shop here in Adelaide the lens adapter is available for $44.95 and the wide angle for $250 will take them a couple of weeks to get them in ..so other ppl in auzzie land might want to try there shop near them

On Kodak's website (for France), it is still said that it will be available at early april... We are deep in "early april"...
