Excepting file size, is there anything about the Mark II that turns you off? Does the cmos instead of ccd concern you?

--It sounds like a great camera, the only thing that would get me to
switch from the 1D though is much less noise at ISO 1600 and above

--Now, Chuck Westfall is very reputable and I respect his comments,
but it's the working pros such as yourself Ken that I'd trust.
Hearing from Eastwood and Pope tells me more than a Canon rep.

--Nothng from the new 1DMkII turns me off it, the whole package is
brilliant.
I have never needed to use 1/500th flash sync, and if i do, i would
just use my 550 flash function for high shutter speed sync.
read the manual on the 550EX, thay can shoot up to 1/8000th sec
with the correct settings

Meanwhile, Canon put the 1D-II on the sidelines of the Superbowl
just a week after it's announcement.
I'm reserving final judgement too till after some reviews but we
already know this baby is gonna be KILLER !
