The main attraction of this forum is the exchange of ideas and learning from questions from “new-bees” many of us, “regular” visitors would never ask.
Split this forum and we will loose valuable insights and there is a good chance that my interest level in visiting here will drop, as it has with so many other so-called “professional” forums.
A comment about the present hype regarding the D70, my initial knee-jerk reaction to this new model is one of “who cares”. However, because of this forum I am now more aware of the technology improvements of this body and am somewhat more respectful of its capabilities. Hence, it is through this forum that I can get to understand new product beyond the corporate promotional hype. This does not mean that it will ever be on my list to acquire.
What brings me here is the vast variety of input form all levels of expertise.

Why/how are all these ppl seemingly coming out of the woodwork to suddenly voice their opinions? Pardon me if you're a long time lurker, J Pal.
There's already a Pro Talk Forum, so why can't all the dissatisfied/disgruntled pros just go congregate over there, and be done with this forum, leaving this one as it stands now?
