Being from Montana, we can't just hop in the car and drive to Disney World. It takes about 100 years of planning. We were just talking the other night that it is time to go again. I could live there. Love every part of it. Thanks for showing the pictures. Makes me really really want to go!!

Hi Frank,

Nice shots! We're leaving a week from today for Disneyworld and your shots got us all excited! Couple of questions if I may... 1) What lens did you use for the ones shot at 28mm? 2) I noticed that the exif shows white balance as (10). What's that mean anyway? What setting did you use? 3) What kind of sharpening settings do you use and one more.......4) Did you carry a tripod at all? (I'd like to, but I'm wondering how practical that will be)
Thanks for sharing,
Bob
Thanks everyone for your comments Disney is a truly fun place that
makes a lot of memories. I have more pics posted on PBase check em

How did you get such a great exposure of the "It's a small world" ride? Please don't tell me you used a flash. That would be extremely annoying since flash photography is banned on almost all (if not all) Disney attractions and rides.

Of course, now that I look at it closer, you can certainly see the harsh shadows created by the flash. :(

Sad, nobody respects rules and regulations anymore.

I've seen this thing at brookstone. Didn't know anyone especially Disney, to buy them. hehe..

Beautiful pics, very vibrant colors, and all without DV? We go to Disneyland just about every weekend. My Daughter loves it. Its gonna get a whole lot more expensive when she turns three :)

I usually only bring my pocket camera (p10). Here's one that's hosted on imagestation.com (you will need to create a user ID, but its free!).

What is that thing that the guy is riding? I've never seen one before. You are so lucky to get to go to Disney World every weekend. I think I could live there. What a wonderful place. Say Hi to Mickey and Minnie the next time you get there for me. Tonya

Its one of those peoplemover things. Runs on batteries. I saw it at a store called Brookstone at the South Coast Plaza (there was a little video & the actual machine there). Seems pretty quick from what I've seen in the video. I thought it was the funniest thing though.

Disneyland actually (the original in Anaheim). But yeah, its a lot of fun for the whole family. We have the premium pass, that gives me 10-15% off food n merchandise, but it still gets expensive though.
Say Hi to Mickey and Minnie the next time you get there for me.
Will do.

Hi Dog,

Let me point out that it is not the "It's a Small World" ride it is the ride in the Mexico pavalion in Epcot and they do allow flash photography there. I did respect the rules and asked at every ride I went on if flash photography was allowable and surprisingly on some rides it actually was. However I did notice that there were some people who did not and yes it is sad when people don't respect the rules. I was not one of them as I would have loved to take as many pics as I could. The day I went to The Magic Kingdom where It's a Small World is located, it was raining and I decided to leave my D100 in the safe at my hotel :-(

It's not nice to assume and try to point out that I did not respect the rules. That's what is really sad because we all know that when you assume...... well you know the rest.
Thanks for your response anyway :-(

Hi Bob,

Thanks again there is so much do see and take pics of you will have a great time.

I used a Nikon 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 G most of the day and the EXIF info for some reason did not come out properly on PBase but here it is .

Exposure Mode Aperture Priority
Metering Mode Multi Pattern
ISO 200
White Balance Cloudy -3
AF Mode AF-C
Tone Comp User Defined Custom Curve
Color Mode I (sRGB)
Sharpening Normal
Noise Reduction Off

There was times in the evening or when it got dark that I would have liked a tripod but did not want to lug it around all day just for the night shots if you have a small tripod ( pocket size) that would probably be good I forgot to bring mine and didn't want to go back to the car to get it. Make sure you have all you need before you leave the parking lot.
And most importantly have a great time.
