Since the d70 has been announced, I'm VERY interested in what the imaging chip can do....so I'm interested in some imagesfrom that chip (which is also in your D100). Your shot looks excellent! Beautiful dog! It might be a mutt, but it is as handsome as any.

What lens?
Dpreview needs a spell check feature! Or should I say I do!
Pardon the grammer.

Steven,

Thanks you very much, it was shot with the D100 and the Sigma 70-200 and using the SB80 DX for fill. Shot at f 5.6 and a shutter speed of 180th, I used center weighted metering. She was a great model sitting perfectly still in 20 degree weather.

She was found as a puppy at the dump where all the debris was taken from the twin towers in NYC, they found a litter of 4 pups there and my girlfriend got this one.

Thanks

I am very pleased with this shot, I love the D100 Sigma 70-200 combo, for a thousand dollars less it rivals the Nikon 70-200 VR.

then read this endless hoopla about the D70 ;-) Especially photos of beautiful animals. Great shot, very regal dog!

but maybe just a tad oversharpened. It looks like sharpening artifacts around the ears, and that might just be this monitor. Everything else is outstanding.

I agree, I think i really need to sharpen it just for the web, and one for print. the print is perfect but you are right thw web version is jut a bit overdone.
