I haven't been around much in the last week or so, I have had dreaded computer probs, No connections or extremely slow connections that made it nearly impossible to view a thread or post, coupled with blistering heat which zapped me of what little energy I could muster up. It was much easier to bend my elbow with a glass in it than the UZI :-) So those that have posted nice pics and not seen a comment from me, please don't take it as non-interest. I'll have no chance of catching up so I'll start from today :-)

I managed this Pelican shot with the UZI at Full zoom, F8 and 1/1150 sec in P mode. He's got a ruff head, but that's what we Aussies are like .. LOL

Hi Jackeroo,

Sorry to hear of your comp and weather problems, but glad you're back. Nice shot of the pelican. If I could make one tiny suggestion, it would be to clone out the foliage attached to the bird's head. :)

Regards,
Brian

Now, that's a great shot!!
Looks like you've really got the hang of that UZI, my friend.
Excellent. Fantastic colors, sharp as a razor, and an interesting angle as well.

And Jack ~ It sounds like you need a trip up north to cool your body. We have nice weather these days. Not too cold, only -3C or so. How about a bath in the harbour? Eh? No??

It's good to be back too, a good part of my entertainment is right here on this forum. I enjoy the pics, , the information, the opportunity to learn a little nearly every day, and I really enjoy the cameraderie of the 'gang'. Thanks for your comments, hope I can stick around a while . :-)

This is absolutely gorgeous...incredible detail.

Now you have to start all over again and take some more awesome pics of those wonderful critters around there.

With all that sunshine and blue sky the UZI is going to do you a right proud job!

Glad to see you Jack. I was getting worried.

I could send you some cool temp in exchange of some warm one; between us we could have just the perfect one LOL

I love you pic (modified). I love the unusual angle. I love the head's details. Amazing...

just because it’s been hot
you think it is some sorta plot
welcome back to the fray
we hope you are here to stay

I like your shot. Where was he sitting?

Haven't you got a koala around somewhere in your backyard?

Hi Pork Chop. Good to see you back.

What was the problem with computer? This AM this site is supper slow, tried to post earlier and got Server to Busy Message.

Looks like you are getting the UZI to work for you, how you like it so far?

Good picture. Nice angle, detail, etc. Some noise apparent, hard not to have it shooting the sky. Did you use any NR?

Did not know you picked up a UZI - when how?

Can you put a fish in the mouth?

Seriously, I think I sent you my detail popper action. Try it on this photo and adjust the opacity of the screen layer (or both) for your liking and if it's different, post the results here.

Also do a color correction following

and see what that does.
