Jeffrey,

No it doesn't. Since you have to push a button yourself for the
flash to pop up, there's no way the camera can perform this
function on it's own.

Hi Goldeneye,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually there is these type of function. I have a Nikon camera
F601 (Film) and it's flash will auto pop-up where I take picture in
dark or dim situation. Even Canon has these function.

Just don't understand why Fuji didn't built these type of function.

Jeffrey, You will need to pop it up. You will see a little flash
hand in the view finder telling you you should use the flash. Steve
