Sizing pictures that you're going to imbed in posts (tutorial)

The problem with Save for web is that it removes Exif data which
some like to review.
With Exifer you can put EXIF data back in the edited picture. Then
you are free to use whatever tool you want and still have EXIF data
in your output file.

LOL If you're going to do all of that, then just use Save As and not Save for Web to start with. :)

I first resize the image to about 7 or 8 in. wide and 100kb (not 72). Then I use Save for Web and pick an image about 100 to 120 kb and hit Done. The smaller photo shows on the screen. I select the file I use for reduced-size photos and hit Save. Next I use the slider to get to the size I want (as I selected on Save for Web). I never lose my exif data that way. Does this make sense? It's easy and fast. Here's one I just did:



You can get the exif data by using my pbase site (shown in profile) in January 2004 photos.
