Andy's Day in Times Square

HI all,

Met Andy in Manhattan and we did some shooting. We also get real wet, we had a bit of weather today. I'll have more to say later and some other pics but the main event was ---- Andy's POTD on the Kodak Jumbotron in Times Square.

The reason Andy's hands were up in the air was because he was being mugged

The truth is that Andy was covered in a purple glow that I removed in PS.

boy we had fun. hey gang, the best part of the day was when harry was shooting some of these shots, it was pouring rain - and i'm in the middle of the street, harry's at the curb, i've got one eye on poor harry dripping wet, one eye one our gear, and what happens? several new yorkers come up to harry and cover him with their umbrellas so that his nikon won't get soaked by the rain! only in new york, kids, only in new york.

we had a blast today. the 828 performs better in the rain than either harry or me

seriously, this camera took some serious abuse today, and is none the worse for wear.

i'll have a post to share later tonight or tomorrow.

That's a great picture of Harry. As a newbie, I'm curious... what were the settings for that photo? The reason I ask is that I'm surprised you got blur on the cars, but none whatsoever on Harry... I know he was still (setting up a photo), but not even a hair is blurred (that I could tell -- haven't seen original). Am I just over-estimating the difficulty in getting this contrast (blur vs. no blur) when one subject is moving fast?

Oh, from what I've been seeing from Andy and Harry so far, I would bet that they could!

Andy and Harry goofing off at the ballpark. Andy and Harry driving around in a borrowed Farrari. Andy and Harry eluding an authority figure. Andy and Harry riding floats and singing at a parade. Andy and Harry planning and constructing gizmo's to hide their true intentions. A few close friends in on the shananagins to make it more fun. Yes, all the elements are there. Could there be a movie in the making?
