Not if you know what you're doing.its not 10x better???
Then don't shoot in ISO 800. I almost never use anything but ISO 100 with my 5700.look at all the noise at iso 800 its disgusting ....
The Digital Rebel is certainly a faster camera with a better sensor, which makes it better suited for action photography. But unless most of your shots are action shots or shots in the worst conditions possible, it is impossible to justify your claim, even if we ignore the arbitrary quantification part of it.i have a nikon
cp 5700 looking to get a rebel..... the difference is night and day
in terms of image quality...
As a previous poster wrote, the cheap plastic body of the Digital Rebel is enough to keep me from buying it. The fact that it is lacking in several features is even worse. If it was the only game in town, or if I knew I would never buy another camera, then I might buy the Rebel over the 5700. But of course neither is the case, so I would rather save a little longer and buy a D100 or better, or get a 5700 to tide me over while I save for a better dSLR. If you don't have a digicam, the 5700 will be a keeper even after you get a dSLR - you won't always want to have to lug that thing around. OTOH, if you get a Digital Rebel, eventually you will want to upgrade; when you do, it will make little sense to hold onto the Rebel, and you won't have a smaller, lighter camera for more casual use.
