First used the instant sketch pro on image. The copied the pencil layer (at 14%) over the image I'd done the rockwell action on and added an adjustment layer (selective color) and tried to give the red a more orange tone. A little dodging and sharpening.

Don't know if it looks like Rockwell... but I liked it. Nice action.

... what a great forum! Mike posted his beta action only 24 hours ago, and it has taken off, spurring the creativity of our gurus. Cassandra and Kent have added their own touches, while Mike Warren has recreated the "Rockwell" look via a completely different route. No wonder I have learned so much in the last six months!

Thanks Mike and Gale. On this one I first did Hayes Island modified - it includes a smart blur giving an outline, which is consistent with the more 'illustrative' genre (don't like that word especially, but it fits - ran Mike's action on it, and then copied the other image (fr. post above) on top and set the blend at multiply reducing opacity.

pic.You all are really getting close.. I'm looking at a rockwell calendar I have, and notice on some of them he has a white background and white floor..However because of shadow or mark you know it is the floor...wonder if you did that What it would look like...wish i Knew how to...Just an Idea....
