New Year's Fireworks... (imgs)

Absolutley fantastic pictures Mun Weng.

What technique did you use to ensure you got many fireworks in one shot?

well to get so many fireworks in a shot.... that's a good question.

alot is dependent on the fireworks show itself.. I've shot 3 fireworks so far within the last 6 months and all 3 of them being very different. no one setting can be used to satisfy all.

different as in the intensity of the fireworks and the types of fireworks and the frequency of the fireworks popping... my normal exposure would be about 2-4 seconds. so if the ppl coordinating the fireworks decide to pop the fireworks fast, then your 4 seconds is going to catch a lot of different ones. So, it you ask me, the shutter speed will determine this along with the 'frequency' of the fireworks.. you might not want to get too many different fireworks in one shot.

remember to adjust your aperture so that it won't get overexposed.

What a great technique. Do you happen to have some of the info for each pic? (shutter, ISO, aperture)?

A definitely wonderful set of pics tho.

Please look at one of my threads earlier for my suggestions on how to shoot fireworks.
ISO is at 200. typically 2 - 3 seconds for shots.

thanks for your comments

These are very nice shots, as others have mentioned. How did you do the titles? They seem to mirror the firworks? And what is the font used in the titles?

Thanks
