Anybody using the mediastreet Niagra II system, or the mediastreet inks with their canon printers. I have been testing out Qimage, and love the results. I have heard a lot of people talk about non canon inks and non canon papers. But I seem to find that they don't print nearly as well as the canon products. Can this be solved with a custom Qimage printer profile? And if so how do they (ilford paper, or others) compare to the canon product results? Is it really worth the 25 to 75 dollars for the custom profile?

I have used the Mediastreet cis and inks on my epson 2000 with excellent results and reliability. I thought the image quality was better than the epson ink. Mediastreet will make a custom profile for you for FREE--they have made several for me with very good results.

mdijb,

I went to the MediaStreet site, to follow up on your comments above, and it appears that all their profile activity is only for Epson printers! Am I missing something??

You are correct-- Being an epson user, I just did not notice they appear to make products for epson printers only--You could call to see if they do or are or are planning to get into the cannon market also--they have been helpful and available in the past.
