Looks pretty tough! Ever get stung by one? I've been stung by a small brown one, but nothing like this bugger! Good photo, just needs a little more in focus, which is something I haven't mastered yet either! Keep us safe over there, cuz your the man! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks KennyB. Yeah, he was moving slow but didn't want to sit still very long. This was the best one of a group of pics I took. Very tough to focus on that little bugger. ;)

There's another one on my site of him that shows him resting on a guys thumb. And no, I've never been stung by one. These Iraqi ones are very deadly we have been told plus they have nasty attitudes. Luckily this one seemed pretty mellow.

I appreciate the comments.

It really wasn't very scary. He seemed much more frightened than myself and the 3 other guys standing around him. I was a little nervous though when my face and camera were inches from him. That big Carl Zeiss lens protected me though. LOL

Thanks Andy. I'm really very much a budding "beginner" photographer. I love taking pictures with this camera. Macro's I find very challenging but rewarding at the same time. I took a macro of a pen tip and the detail this thing captures is just breathtaking. If that little scorpion wasn't moving around so much I would have snapped more pics. We had to get the tent moved though so I was very pressed for time. I am very happy with the results though.

Did I mention I'm a Scorpio? Yup, so I felt connected to that little guy.
