My first test / 828

There would be no change in speed.

A tabbed interface is one possibility. In any event, I want to do it in a way that won't look intimidating to new users.

-- Jim
take a little time to work out an appropriate user interface, since
internally all of this is already implemented.
Since NN is already doing these things internally, making interface
adjustments won't at all affect program speed and performance, will
it?

Is it a matter of adding a tabbed interface, or perhaps an Advanced
button to take those users who want it over to a new dialog?
Also, the best advice for anyone deciding between the two products
is simply to try them both and see which one is more to your
personal liking.
Hmmm... just like with cameras. :-)

I did second part of my testing, about 1.5 hours, now using pre-created profiles. Neat Image still had very slight edge in about 25% of images, but nothing sort of the differences i saw before.

So, i'll give you permission to buy Noise Ninja if you want :) I might buy it also, the difference in quality is really not significant and I kinda like Jim's responsivenes here and would like to support his business.

Hello, Henkka.
I did second part of my testing, about 1.5 hours, now using
pre-created profiles. Neat Image still had very slight edge in
about 25% of images, but nothing sort of the differences i saw before.
Ahhh, this is much more encouraging now. I really did take to mind your points about the two programs. So I was hoping there would be more investigation into the differences. This is very good.
So, i'll give you permission to buy Noise Ninja if you want :)
Thank you, thank you so much! Hahahahahah :-)
I might buy it also, the difference in quality is really not

Yes, I have also been very impressed with the way he supports the program in several forums here, without being at all pushy and simply here for the $$$. He's quite a helpful person. Good thing for those who are using the program.

Have fun, Henkka. I will very likely join the list of users now, even though I anxiously await the Photoshop plug-in also!

Guys,

After reading many of your posts yesterday, I bought NN, just to see if I could make it work on the sample 8 2 8 images. Now I am a TOTAL rookie (still trying to decide on my first digicam), and I was able to achieve about the same results described in another post (the ISO800 after NN was between the ISO200 and ISO400 levels).

I didn't have any idea where to start, so I used the 7 1 7 profile, and it worked pretty well.

In any case, I was pretty impressed by the ease of NN use. It only took me about 10 minutes to get useful results.

Intro:

"For a photographer it is to be understood not simply the philosophy and the camera Design of an enterprise, which manufactures otherwise outstanding products in the audio video world. In order to write an objective report, I must be concerned therefore in the coming days with the camera, its possibilities and all attitudes more near. In particular I wish myself better weather.

The today's fog was to be discovered however nearly already ideally around the "notorious" noise of this camera. On it already so much was reported. On the question, how strong the noise is, how the noise affects the image quality and how one can avoid it, I in the coming days will answer. Anyhow I wish myself in this week radiating sunshine.

New contribution with photographs with ISO 64-800."

Caption above jacket shots:

"If you click on one of the pictures stated down, the admission in originalgroesse appears. They may load themselves the pictures on your own computer around itself own opinion to the quality to form. For the photographs further pictures will follow, among them also in the RAW format."

Caption under jacket shots:

"In the Sony forum with http://www.dpreview.com meanwhile an interesting debate was inflamed. One does not want to believe simply that we could already attest the F828. One required proofs. During the publication of the first photographs one spoke there of a duck: surely, we had some ducks in the zoo also made a blueprint... however none of the newspaper. Then one wanted to fool into believing me that a pilot lot camera was used, since no ISO 64 was published picture. Well, now I issue evenly still some ISO 64 photographs. And slowly I have also no more desire and in particular no time, in order to convince the disbelieving forum participants further; I there rather continue with new tests."

Caption above printer box:

"Low light conditions. Hereby I follow still another request: Photographs under bad light conditions. Simple 60 W a bulb in the otherwise dark area. The intoxication debate does not want to end probably? Whereby seems inconsequential with this camera class. With security one can say: the picture is not bad, and who will take with this camera photographs beyond A4-Format? But there are other cameras! With 20 x 30 cm the image quality is outstanding. I would even say, the sharpness am above average good."

Caption below printer box:

"Sharpness/distortion

Since one meanwhile already compares with one another pictures of the EOS 300D and F828, I have same photograph situations of both cameras regarding sharpness and distortion compared. The F828 becomes still gesture constant from me. Before I can come to a final evaluation, still some comparison photographs regarding sharpness and distortion as well as photographs with flashlight follow."

Following after the shots of 2 men (suspect one of the men is the author;):

"With JPEG photographs 4 series photographs are possible; when TIF dissolution or RAW dissolution series photographs are not possible.

Nightshot functions only in the p-mode, i.e. manual change of screen or exposure time is not possible.

Still two data for delay in storing:

RAW: 45 seconds; TIF: 55 seconds.

Video-Aufzeichnung on 1 GB IBM micro drive:

Quality standard: 49 minutes 17 seconds.

Quality Fine: 13 minutes 41 seconds.

With video photographs a zoom is possible, the camera focused and exposed automatic. Dimension of picture area to 640 x 480, excellent picture and sound qualities, the autofocus is however slow thereby.

Thank you for the review!

"Tokrat vam pred končno oceno kamere predstavim še zadnjo serijo fotografij. Ujel sem lepo vreme vredno popotnika in poizkusil uloviti nekaj ljubljanskih zanimivosti. K slikam tudi ne dodajam nobenih tehničnih podatkov. Zakaj? Vprašajte se za namen kamere in vse vam bo jasno!"
