I hope you guys aren't getting sick of these sample shot posts... I know they helped me (err...tempted me) to make my decision to get myself one of these fun cameras!

So here's the link to my newly created imagestation album:

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288409303

They're all original files straight from the camera, no post processing, no cropping, no nothing. I haven't messed with any settings, so they're all at default settings too.

Most of them are boring test shots, but hopefully they'll be helpful (or unhelpful, hehe) to those still trying to resist getting an FZ10 (trust me, resistance is futile...)

Enjoy!

These are very good. Can you post the settings of the camera when these shots were taken..

Thanks
Allan

Thanks for posting.. nice pics..

and don't be sorry for posting.. It is an important function of these forums to show others the type of pics the cameras are capable of, and guide future users (like me hopefully)..

Ummm...I dunno if this is what you're asking for, but here goes:

W.BALANCE = auto
PICT.SIZE = 2304
QUALITY = low compression
SPOT MODE = off
ISO SENSITIVITY = 50
AUDIO.REC = off
C-AF CONT.AF = off
D.ZOOM = off
COL.EFFECT = off
STABILIZER = mode1

I just remembered.... the only setting that I DID change was fix the ISO to 50. Sorry if I mislead anyone...

I was amazed at how sharp the photo was too! That was one of the first photos I took. He has an orange stain on his nose because he attacked the bowl of spaghetti I had on the kitchen table while I wasn't paying attention. =)

If someone in the US with a FZ10 can take a macro as clear as your cat photo ... I will be sold.

If anyone has a link to a macro shot from a US version of the FZ10 ... please let me know. I am only interested in unresized, untouched originals. Thanks.

I'm certainly no photographer, but here's all the macros I've done with mine so far (I don't use macro mode much...) This will be slow to load b/c, as requested, they are original size. I don't know if any are as sharp as that beautiful cat photo, I'll have to experiment some with macro mode and see what I can get!

Anyway, here they are, warts and all:

The following comments are specifically about photo #1 and #2 in your link.

Your macros have that final element of detail that make them feel real.

Its like seeing high definition video ... or something analogous to it.

Thanks for sharing these.

Just kidding.

But thats really great to know that the FZ10 CAN take such pictures. Did you purchase the camera in the US ?

I see that you have version 1.05 (I downloaded the image and looked at the EXIF).

Hmm ... what are you doing that others seem to have difficulty with. Did you use a flash for the cat pictures (did not look like it) ?

Thanks for those awesome photos and keeping me from cancelling my order !!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the camera at Ritz camera online, and it came in overnight. Very quick service! (of course, you pay a premium for it...)

What's the latest version? If there's a later version I'm gonna go nuts...

It's funny you ask that, because I was thinking the same thing.

I read a lot of complaints in the forums about blurry photos, but I don't seem to have that problem. Oh, and I didn't use flash in any of my photos. Maybe I just have super steady hands. =)

Besides, the CA's are almost not there....

Why ??? My one has got a lot of them even in good
lighting condition.

You've got a super one or I (we)v'e got a deficit...?

Well, naturally I posted the best ones I have. =)

I noticed that on the ones where the focus wasn't exactly where I wanted (to where the edges of the subject are a little blurry, the CA is noticeable). I also intentionally pointed the camera away from the direction of the sunlight so that the sun was to the right or behind me as much as possible.

I'm not sure if that makes any difference though... maybe I'll post some of the "not so good" photos as well if you guys are interested. I don't expect 100% of my photos to come out perfect, so I'm enjoying the camera nonetheless.

Thanks for the warning.

Maybe I'll read the fine print when I have a few minutes. EVERYONE reads the fine print when they sign up for these things right?? =)

My imagestation account is disposable and was only created to share pictures on this forum (although you mention that I may not be sharing with every browser...err..) so I'm not too concerned.

Do you know of other places where I can share photos? (with the full size image still intact, and with better browser support while I'm at it - I should have checked that myself).

I'm a webdesigner/programmer so I guess I could make my own album if I have time, but the designer in me is not gonna allow just throwing images into a folder... =P

Come on now ... you really cannot ?

Just kidding.

Even the best photographers can't get more than 20% of their shots right on the money. Its impossible ... to many variables.

Good work.
