Lord knows I have stuck with ACDSee for a long time, as I feel it is the best program for my needs, but these people who run this company seem to be the most pathetic dolts in the history of software. If Vancouver is a Village, then this company undoubtedly employs most of its Idiots.
First they introduce 6.0 with numerous bugs, including useful features from 5.0 that they, oops, forgot to include in 6.0, like a button to go to an external editor from the View window. Gee, I guess we goofed on that one. Wait for the first service pack, says their FAQ, and we'll fix that.
Now comes an "update" to 6.0.2. Tried to install the update. Oops, doesn't work!! You get an error saying that the correct version to be updated is not installed!! How can a company post an update on its web site that doesn't even work?? Didn't anybody check it before it was posted?
Now the funniest part...in order to get technical support, you send an email. The posted likely response time for registered users with a valid license number?? FIVE business days!!
What has happened to that company?? Way back at version 3, when I started using ACDSee, the company seemed to have a clue. That clue seems to have now disappeared into the Canadian fog.
