Zf FW 3.00 released

I’m loving focus peaking only whilst zooming. I found focus peaking of little use when viewing the whole composition but it works brilliantly when zoomed in. I can just leave it on all the time now.

Has anyone tried this with third party lenses, in particular Viltrox 16mm or 20mm? After the last firmware update I had some autofocus problems with both, until the lens firmware was also updated. I’m going on an overseas trip in a few weeks and don’t want to risk an update and the possibility of non working lenses.

Thanks.
I've tested my Viltrox 135mm and 28mm f/4.5

No apparent issues with focus.

All installed. Tried film garin it works but I will never use it. Seems faux to me. If I want to shoot with grain I’ll put a 3200ASA film in my old Nikon FMs.

Otherwise I’m not very interested in making digital look like fast film.

Bit like buying a car with great brakes with an override to mimic drum brakes of an old car… Probably a crap metaphor but hey.
Of course you like it or you don’t but film grain looks awesome if you don’t choose a setting too high. Keep size small and intensity between 1-3 and it looks great.

In contrast with what you said, I personally do not like the overly clean and ridiculously smooth and artificial look of modern digital cameras, even though o own many. Haha. And yes I still shoot film.
so yeah, I’m liking this film grain a lot!!
Everyone feels differently but for me calling digital artificial in contrast to film is a tad odd as film grain is also “artificial” neither digital or film render “reality” it is all an edited version and equally artificial. So of course each of us prefers different styles etc but I would argue it is all “artificial”.
