Leica Monthly Photo Thread for October 2025

Like a lot of little country towns, ours was built along the railroad tracks. This is a remnant from those days. It's now kept behind a barbwire topped fence to prevent graffiti spray painting. It's happened many times since I've lived here.

Leica M11 with Voigtlander 50mm f/1 Nokton at f/1 + Visoflex II EVF
Great shot.

Could you explain the processing. Is it a plug in or similar?
Ilford HP5 in post.
Thank you sir - appreciated.

I use film profiles from RNI, which you apply during RAW conversion into PS/LR.

They have various packs available, I tend to use this set the most, which includes a huge range of neg, slide, vintage, B&W, and instant film types.

Thanks Chris, I loaded up the RNI presets and used the HP5 for the photo below (Shell From The Past). I love it!

Fantastic - glad you like 'em. Mastin Labs also do some great film profiles - little more pricy but very well researched and very tweak-able

M8 40 f1.4 Voitlander, I hardly ever use this lens, I mostly go for 35s.

I like the monochrome hues in your photo. Mmmm, shiny metal! :-)

In Venice (FL), just north of where I live, what's left of the railway has been incorporated into a park. That park is currently being renovated and expanded…I took these two phone pics back in June, just before the work started.

The station.
The station.

I really like that the town is preserving this stuff.

The morning dew and reflected light was what called out to me. :)

It’s funny I didn’t like my color shots because I thought they painted it a really strange red.

What does ‘basic P&P’ mean? Let’s see the original….
I only use the built-in Windows Gallery post-processing program :

For me "basic p-p' means : cropping/brightness/contrast/colour adjustment/sharpening - and nothing else...

Here is the original picture :

...and again the post-processed:
