Thanks for the help.I see your ICM shot is at 1/80 shutter speed. That is way too fast. If conditions are that bright, close down your aperature and/oruse ND filter to cut down the light to allow something under 1/10 sec. My personal preference is around 1/4 second, sometimes a bit longer around 1-2 sec. At 1/4 second, I can keep some details of reality which I like. At these slower speeds you only have to move the lens a bit and can use more control keeping subject in the frame. Look for color and value contrast. Cloudy days or a bit darker locations or times are your friend and allow shooting without the ND filter. It worked for me.I was trying to get a softer look in camera without "fixing" it in postI like the painterly effect you got by shooting so far into the diffraction zone. Thanks Randall,Beautiful photo James, looks like a great place to live. We travelled a bit of Scotland last year and had a wonderful time.

Intentional Camera Movement - inspired by some of the images here, I thought I'd have a go.I have more than a few days like that , what does ICM mean ?I've been failing to get anything decent this morning with ICM - too fast, too slow, pointing the wrong way when shutter pressed...

Least worst of the attempts
Fascinating effects of fisheye plus shallow DoF plus field curvature
In other news - I paid my wife's outstanding tax bill - that sort of day!
