Welcome to the Weekly Image Thread!

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT). If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

  1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
  2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
  3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
  4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
  5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.
Thanks for joining and contributing this week.

Yes Dave, the medication has been causing me to have some interesting dreams. I did take one pill at about 2:30 last evening/morning so you could be correct!

I don't like taking the narcotic, just in case, but I have used them rather heavily for pain in the past and not become reliant on 'mother's little helpers' so likely not much to worry about in that regard. It is getting more difficult to get doctors to prescribe them though so I worry about running out. The ones I have are left over from a number of years ago, about 2009 I think.

Not to worry Dave! I see things in the woods often!

Andrew,

Same type of bugs here for this time of year. The camouflage brown color of the Mantis makes it very hard to spot, even if it's right in front of you.

Perfect looking Aster.

It is beautiful country with a nice sky, Andrew. I haven't been keeping up with the forum changes to come. I don't want to be angry until happens. If it means the end of your thread I will be more than angry. I will be depressed. Rich

Thanks Rich.

The way things are going for me, I may not be able to keep up before the changes occur. Seems the symptoms are getting worse fairly rapidly and I don't see any medical intervention happening soon. A lot of pain and lack of mobility in general. If it keeps up I will be on oxy too frequently if I want to move at all. As long as I sit in the barka lounge and do nothing it is ok. Sleeping is not going well either.

I may have to get an e reader to keep myself amused.

Don't go to the link, it will upset you and it is soon! The site will be read only for five days starting Oct 31 if things go as they plan!!!!

The beginning of the end I suspect.

"We plan to begin the migration around October 31. At that time, the forums will enter a read-only mode for approximately five days. You'll still be able to browse and search existing discussions, but publishing new posts and uploading new content will temporarily pause while we move all forum data to the new system. After this data migration is complete, the updated forums will go live."

Lovely views and country side there. Are these in Oregon? Apparently you have wineries there. I did not see any long ago when I went down the coast as far as Portland, oh so long ago!
