Sounds like Ocoloy wants to eat these. Not me!

I was on an unforgettable trip to northern Iceland. Aurora was strong, well visible with naked eye.

I was driving around a lake to find a nice reflection.

18th October before midnight.

XT5 with Viltrox 13mm f1.4.

shot at f1.4, 6 sec.

This lens is a gem for night photography.

You need to submit this one in a contest for the best astro image of 2025. I'm not kidding! This one is darn good and hopefully you are very pleased!

In fact if I had captured something like this, it would be printed on Acrylic and proudly displayed in my house/gallery!

I like the second with the blurred wings.

I was in the Eastern Sierra a couple of weeks ago, the fall colors were peaking. I unfortunately didn't have time to plan and do much photos of these beautiful colors, but I did take some.

Convict Lake and Laurel Mountain
Convict Lake and Laurel Mountain

The light wasn't terrific as it was a dusk, but I really like the pallet of colours from the rocks, the lake and the glowing aspens. I shall return next year for sunrise and capture the true magic of that place.
I've been there but not at this time of year. Textures and colors are truly breathtaking.

Lovely, absolutely lovely.

A wonderful example of minimalism. Nice capture.

It was my first time going to the Eastern Sierra at that time of the year. I'd been a bit before and a bit after, but never during peak fall colors. I am now convinced it is the best time of the year to enjoy the scenery and photography of that region. I'd wish I had stayed a few more days to see the first snow, that would have even added to the magic.
100% would recommend to go at that time of the year.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining a friend who creates portraits for a Red Cross charity shop. We spent a few hours photographing models dressed in clothes from the shop and ended up with a nice collection of portraits for their advertising.

Wow nice shots. What lens did you use for Kabibi’s portrait?

Thanks everyone. I seem to gravitate to the stark beauty of the high desert. Something about arid land, "badlands." sage brush and tumble weeds I guess.

We shoot for hours yet there are a few minutes every day that almost always produce great images. This image is from a few days ago at the East Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge
