You need to submit this one in a contest for the best astro image of 2025. I'm not kidding! This one is darn good and hopefully you are very pleased!
I've been there but not at this time of year. Textures and colors are truly breathtaking.I was in the Eastern Sierra a couple of weeks ago, the fall colors were peaking. I unfortunately didn't have time to plan and do much photos of these beautiful colors, but I did take some.
Convict Lake and Laurel Mountain
The light wasn't terrific as it was a dusk, but I really like the pallet of colours from the rocks, the lake and the glowing aspens. I shall return next year for sunrise and capture the true magic of that place.
Thank you Bob,I like the second with the blurred wings.

Thank you.Beautiful!
It was my first time going to the Eastern Sierra at that time of the year. I'd been a bit before and a bit after, but never during peak fall colors. I am now convinced it is the best time of the year to enjoy the scenery and photography of that region. I'd wish I had stayed a few more days to see the first snow, that would have even added to the magic.I've been there but not at this time of year. Wow, thank you so much!Excellent photos and as I mentioned to another poster, time for some large prints for the wall.
Wow nice shots. What lens did you use for Kabibi’s portrait?Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining a friend who creates portraits for a Red Cross charity shop. We spent a few hours photographing models dressed in clothes from the shop and ended up with a nice collection of portraits for their advertising.
