** Weekly Sigma Photos Thread 13 October - 19 October 2025 **

Hi Scott
That looks like a pretty good lens Roger. Good luck with selling it.
May not sell it.

What I forgot to say was I had to set the res mode in the H to low res as the high res mode was to much for the lens. Hi res mode was soft. Low res mode works fine.

I shoot a lot of film now and I want to have a film advance lever it slows me down and I own a Fuji ST701 and a Pentax spotmatic SP both with the M42 mount. You can buy Leica, or Zeiss or a lot of m42 mount lenses cheap and they work.

I'm trying to limit my gear to 2 cameras 1 digital 1 film 3 lenses. 24, 35, 85 or 100 then road trip. To much gear confuses ones mind and I'm not a P brain shooter.

Have fun

Roger J.

I like the butterfly with the dew on it. I was surprised to see it was shot at the wide end of the lens. Those lizard shots are good too. Nice work!

Are you happy with your 28-200?
Super happy with the 28-200! It's .5x is available at 28, which is about the only time I go that wide. MFD is just over 5".

Here's a shot I captured in Sedona last weekend. (I was late, so didn't get the light the way I would have preferred.)

Sedona - OOC jpeg enhanced in RawTherapee (maybe overdone a little)

But not much texture, Scott, because of the in-camera settings of soft and low saturation.

Some might prefer more saturation and sharpness for this low-light scene.

No surprise to me, Scott. By using the wide end, the subject is necessarily shot at a closer distance thereby blurring the background more so as to bring out the subject more, I reckon.

Mama mia, I love my DPxM cameras so much, almost always exactly sharp and always that beautiful foveon sauce

Glorious set, Luuk.

Sorry I've been missing in action, in and out of hospital and appointments due to kidney stones problems through November. Keep the photos coming to this or new threads. If someone wants to take over the weekly threads for now, please do so. Im reading but unable to keep up with posting much less taking autumn photos.
