Any more defined info?

Cheers.

Well you know who to thank for that one. Those vile Japanese owned Vietnamese factories taking away work from US migrant-workers.... oh wait, their ain't camera or lens manufacturing in the US... never mind, still for the principle!

Will just leave this here.

Yep, some pretty significant price increases, especially on lenses. 150-400 is now $8,999, 300 f4 Pro is $3,599 and just about every other lens went up a few hundred dollars. At least the new 50-200 didn't change price.

This is obviously due to tariffs. I'm about to check places like MPB and KEH to see if trade in values have increased as well.

There's been a thread or two going here for a good week-ish on the impending hikes. Nikon and Fuji posted advance lists before their recent hikes specifying which products and the increase amounts, not so with OMS. I knew with a couple of things because a couple of the bigger dealers had "Through Oct. 12" with the prices of on-sale items. Nabbed a second EM10vi body at the $599 sale price Saturday, now it's up by $100. OM-3 is back to $2K from $1850.

I see two business news analysis articles today from mainstream outlets to the effect that US consumers and retailers, not foreign companies, are bearing the brunt. No news to many of us, but I believe these are the first non-opinion pieces I've seen giving extended analysis to that effect. Hoping it signals a sea change in understanding and perception.

Prices in EU are normal (high) for everything. I expect holiday sales to begin soon.

For the OP: I should add that the actual bulletin from OMS specified these Oct. 13 hikes were US only and related to the tariffs.

Not good for OM but I have all the gear I need for a while so no paying the Trump tax. I still wish OM would complete the F4 Pro line with a 75-250mm F4 pro with synch IS.

$7500 revenue does not go nearly as far for a business in 2025 as it did in 2019. In fact, this increase isn't even keeping up with inflationary rate.

Looking at the OM System site, not much has changed. The recent sale ended for some products. Some lenses are still marked down (100-400). The OM-1 is still available for $1400 which is a crazy bargain.

I would like to know why that is. Has the EU always been a protected market?

The compact TG7 (a fav of mine) was list priced before at $549 and normally on sale for $499. Now it $649 and now on sale for $599.

Italy price is 549,00€ which is $635 in conversion. They are bringing USA price in line with EU.

The m4/3 camera system has been effectively rendered obsolete. While the FF system offers cost effective smaller cameras and superior image quality at higher megapixels, the crop factor still yields better image quality than the 20-megapixel images produced by the m4/3 system. The only advantage of using m4/3 is the theoretical smaller size and weight of the lenses, which is not a significant factor in most cases. For instance, the 150-600mm OM lens is an example of a large and heavy lens that does not produce superior results to a cropped FF camera image. As a long-time m4/3 shooter, I have more reasons to leave the system than to continue using it- anyone want a mint OM 150-600 in the box- send me a message!--

Goodness gracious me, and here I was thinking the OP's query and thread topic concerned the status of the recent OMS price increases.

Nothing worse than a reformed smoker...or a reformed m43 shooter.

I second that. Looks like a bit misplaced post.

Cheers.

lol nope! FF is not smaller, not cheaper and puts fewer pixels on target.

I just skimmed through OM product listing on B & H and easily noticed some significant price hikes on lenses. For example, the 40-150mm 2.8 is up a steep $300. The original 100-400 is back to $1500. Yes, there is no inflation. lol
