What if we went back twenty-five years?

I really feel sorry for you. 💊

By looking at the photo, I want to say it was the 500 model, though it could have been the 600 model. 🤷

Additional clue 😉

The PhotoPC 600 has a screen on the back, the other two do not.

Now, I am thinking it was the 600. I do remember it having a screen. I started attending college in September 1997 and remember the art department having it during the end of my freshman year in 1998.

Were there any models after these? I don't know how long Epson made digital cameras (or at least had their name put on a digital camera).

Yes, several others like

Epson PhotoPC 550 (1997)

Epson PhotoPC 700 (1998) *Like the PhotoPC 600 but in black

Epson PhotoPC 750Z (1998)

Epson PhotoPC 800 (1999)

Epson PhotoPC 850Z (1999)

Epson PhotoPC 650 (1999)

Epson PhotoPC 900Z (2000)

I still think it was the 600 model, 80% sure on a 27 year old memory. :-D

I am too old to remember what I was using in 2000 besides film (a compact Olympus for a lot of stuff, if what I have digitized is accurate).

But I have a 2001 Canon G2 I still use. The second in the very venerable G series that is now resurgent with people a fraction of my age. And it even has an optical viewfinder! still takes great photos. And using it recently reminded me that most of my film cameras didn't last that long before having light leaks, or battery issues, or the like. Kudos Canon.

It’s true that the Canon Gs have had a long and very good reputation! 👍🏼
