Thank you. I'm not very sophisticated with post processing. I mostly use layers to adjust levels for various areas of the photo. It is essentially very accurate burning and dodging as was done for making prints in the film days. I don't like paying a lot for very complicated photo software so I just use Photoshop Elements. That limits me too, I'm sure.Dtop, thank you for adding your excellent compositions, I like them all! Your b&w shots are outstanding; how do you process them to get that 'moody' feel?

Thank you.KB, I like how these pictures are framed.
I was shooting over a tall fence and bushes behind it of one of the small structures built by the company in a compond on Governors Island a place for retreat they say. I had to raise my arm overhead for the shot and luckily my hand was covered by the wood portion of the structure. That place and most of Governors Island is changing last I went they were building motel like structures 2 storeys maybe higher. The mannequin in the first is kind of freaky looking! For the second one, I presume it is a reflection. So my question is: how did you manage to not be reflected in the shot?
Thank you.Dak, these make an excellent collection of compositions.
Well, obviously I was not chimping when doing the shot but rather using live view. In my defense, the inspiration actually was when I was looking at a photograph taken using live view (focus on ultrawides is iffy and tends to end up better with contrast-based AF near the edge where depth of field is staggeringly smaller than in the middle). And when the camera switched out of play mode and back into live view, I found the display so much more interesting…I had to look up what 'chimping' means; and yes I do it.
