I just received my new MC-14 teleconverter on Monday and got a chance to try it out today. My Frankenstein set up was - EM1mkii body, MC-14, K&F adaptor to Canon nFD 400 f4.5. I put this together to get a bargain 560mm f6.3 to see if I could get it to work ok. For around $600 AUD for lens and teleconverter I'm happy.

I'm going out for some more serious play tomorrow. Here's a few from my initial use today.

I have cross posted these photos in the adapted lens forum but thought some here might find it interesting that this combo worked.

Looks like I'll enjoy this.

The shots look great. Your m43 camera gets to use what is normally the sharpest center portion of the lens. How is it to carry around?

Thanks
I carry it around right handed with my fingers around the grip and the lens facing down ready’ish to shoot or if I’m wandering around I’ll have it in my left hand gripping the lens near the lens mount, comfortable enough I find.

Love the ingenuity to "McGuyver" a setup that produces such excellent images- and for a bargain price! Nicely done.

I can’t take credit for the setup unfortunately. Some time ago a forum member on the Adapted Lens forum mentioned that it worked and was a configuration that allowed the use of the optically better quality MC-14 instead of the old Canon FD teleconverters giving better results. That info had stuck in my head and when the MC-14 went on sale at one of our major Aussie retailers , I thought, why not give it a go.
