Nice !
Love the sheep in grass

looks like beautiful weather for being out on a bike.

I’ve been watching some docos on Scotlands Islands and rivers lately givong me a desire to go back there, but my wife says it’s too long a journey to take now so we have to ‘make do’ with New Zealand.

Hi Andrew, just trying to get active here after a very long break.

That’s a very pretty town. As usual I had to check Maps to see where it is.

Love the flowers - very deep colour in that first Hibiscus shot.
Looks like your summer has been kind to the gardens.

Our winter has been cold and wet and this weekend a big burst of cold with snow in the mountains to our west - my wife and I will take our dogs tomorrow for what will likely be the last snow trip for this winter - spring comes early here.

Hopefully I’ll have some pics to post soon

cheers

Peter

Very nice Andrew. I really like the first red hibiscus - I've never seen one as red as that before.

There was a period recently where we had very little rain WN but sadly it has come to end. No dry weather on the horizon for quite some time.

I'll join you for a coffee if that's ok.

Wonderful scenery heading in to Autumn.

I've never heard that work - a difficult translation? I remember the pan pipes "Lonely Shepherd". There was also another work which somehow got translated into "The lambkins have commenced bleating".

You have a wide variety of very attractive butterflies. They must be a challenge to photograph though.

Thanks for posting the link, Lynne. It's a most beautiful piece of music .

I always enjoy seeing the old steam engines. Sadly too few have been preserved.

I feel summer is coming to an end Charlotte, in fact this year seems to be speeding past at an alarming rate.

From the village of Connel there are two roads into Oban, both about 5 miles. The main road is best avoided if you're on a bike but the other is very much less used. That house is on the quiet road but there's no public transport into the town from there.

Dave

It's a nice quiet road for biking Andrew and the scenery is good too.

Disposing of old farm machinery seems to be a bit of a problem. Visit most farms around here and you'll find some piece of old machinery left to rust away.

Cotton Tree is on the south-eastern side of the Maroochy river. The foreshore is held together by a tangle of vegetation that protects the very popular camping ground.

Being so close to the camp sites butcher birds are well fed.

Across the river there is a 'dog friendly' beach.

Sadly it is also one of the last resting places for long distance birds migrating from the Arctic.

They now crowd the sandbanks in the river.

Good to see you back Peter, it's been a while.

Making do with New Zealand won't be a problem I'm sure. Although I've never been, I do have friends with family out there and it looks like a wonderful place to live.

Summer is definitely on the way out Dicky.

I'm a child of the 60's so rock music is more my thing, but that piece by Bach is very soothing and with what's going on in the world I need a bit of soothing sometimes.😀

Great set of images WN. The second one is spectacular.

A great place to visit Gary and an unusual but interesting set of images.

I think people of a certain age love steam trains, they were just so alive.

Dave

What a beautiful place to visit Dicky, with plenty to see and do. Spring is definitely in the air.

The bird images are especially good.

Nice set Dave I like them no 2 being my favourite that tractor will not see much work 😀
Apologies to JS Bach for borrowing the title of my post.

Out on the bike once more on a very windy day.

A tractor for Andrew. Beyond saving I fear.
