Snowy Egret.

Just picked up the XF 500mm a little over a week ago and am loving it. Compact and relatively light. I'm still getting use to Fuji's AF and tracking system and playing with different settings, but I think the learning process is progressing well.
Nice, you might want to try my AF Action settings:

Great documentary work

I suppose the climbers start before sunrise to reduce the chance of avalanche and falling rocks as the days warms up.
Exact. Also they have a long day ahead of them: 3-4h to reach the summit, and a good 8h-9h to get down to the valley...

Thanks, Morris. Yes, I've seen your settings and have your AF-C Custom settings in Set 6. I'm not sure which works best for me, so I'm still experimenting (and having fun doing it.)

The Winter Gardens Morecambe Lancs. A Victorian music hall and variety theatre under restoration. All X-T50, 14mm Fuji. All in a very dark theatre. If I'd known only my wife and I would be on the tour I'd have asked about a tripod.

Highly recommended if you are able to get there for a tour. Main auditorium freely open at weekends in the summer time.

Lots of winter gardens in the UK, somewhere indoors at holiday resorts make sense with the UK weather.

All taken by flicking the AUTO switch to AUTO. Worked OK.

I'm curious what you find works best for you.

Beautiful scene. You seem to be able to travel based upon the images you post. Whether for business or pleasure, it does present many photo ops.
Thank you, Bob! It’s travel for both business and pleasure. Business 2 days, pleasure a few hours or sometimes, pleasure 2 days and business a few hours.

I’m actually a bit surprised, considering that Fuji cameras ae generally travel friendly, why there aren’t many images being shared it from other countries, especially in Asia - the largest continent in the Planet.

Definitely struggle with the whole 'masking' function but it's fun trying to get better at it.

I like that you left the red reflection on the parked car.

The lesser sandpipers are passing through and following the park flooding due to Hurricane Erin they discovered the trails at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY are a great place to forage. Getting down low they totally ignored me.

Went a walk with my wife to find a location she noticed while completing her recent kilt walk….

It was in Tentsmuir Forrest, which is vast…. I couldn’t make up my mind if it was some far-out art installation, or if I had stumbled across a real life ‘hills have eyes’ site…. Either way, I’m glad it was during daylight hours and not the middle of the night 😂😯. Fujifilm X-Pro2 with Tokina 56mm f/1.4 and Ttartisan 27mm f/2.8.

Cheers, Bob

I don't know what's more awesome, the artistic 'installation', or your conveyance of it. Either way. . . :)

p.s. Er. . . kilt walk?

Thanks for the kind words....

The kiltwalk is a charity event that takes part in various cities...my wife took part in the St Andrews to Dundee walk this year....20miles 👍.

Cheers, Bob.
