Hi MD!

I´ll post more, as I start to take more images, but very dark and bad weather + lot of work has held me from really starting off with my 300D that I bought 31/10-2003..

Here are my pbase page with 300D images, of which two are shot with the EF 70-200/4.L lens.

Slightly treated regarding sharpening etc, but very well showing what can be expected, I think.

And as I said, more will follow...

By the way, I´ve had the lens for two and a half year and shot analog with it.

It is really a super good lens, which among other things kept me from going Sigma SD9/10...

Hi Michael

Just took a quick pick to give yu some idea. Hope this helps. It is lighter than it looks and it is a great lens.

Great pictures mat!
I'm determined to get this lens soon... although being in Australia
it's pretty pricy.

What I actually meant in the question was does anyone have a
picture of the lens mounted on the camera :-)

Michael

Thanks!!!!

looks a bit funny having the white with the silver, but really, who cares what color it is if it takes great photos :-) (and that goes for the camera body as well!)

Have you looked into the sigma 70-200 2.8 its around $650 i have read over 50 reviews on it and most people seem to think it is every bit as good as the canon.

I will be getting one next week.
Just got a 300D in today to hold me over till the 1D replacement is out.

Moving to canon have a 300D to start with till the 1D replacement is out.
Selling the rest of my nikon equipment soon.

I dont' know much about the Sigma lines, but are they built to be as tough as the Canon Lglass?
Also, is it compatable with tele converters?

ryusenkai.org for some pictures. Early shots taken with Canon G-1, later stuff with 300D

They're $699 at B&H, but I'm probably going to buy locally - the canon is au$1360ish, the sigma is around au$1800, which is only $50 less than I paid for the camera itself, and it starting to get too expensive for someone who just bought a house :-)

Sorry, I had to give the f4 back to my friend so I don't have a picture of it on the 300D.

I loved the f4 and was going to get one when I found a used f2.8 for the price of a new f4 so I had to get it. The f4 took very nice and sharp photos. I did a few tests with the two and didn't see a real difference in sharpness, but the f2.8 is much better in dark hockey rinks.

Here is the f2.8 on the rebel or should I say here the Rebel on the f2.8 It is not too bad to hold because you can hold on to the tripod mount. The f4 was about 500g lighter and was very easy to handle

sorry of the bad photo. There is not much light in my computer room.
