CATS!!! Hundreds of them! Properly focused!!!

Hey Baron - I think the operative phrase here is 'making
him pose'. I'm the one who is trained in this house with
a couple of outside cats!

Some of these pix brought to mind the movie 'milo & otis'.

Really cute!

Interesting. When I click on the link in the original post, the list of photos starts at #83.
When I retype the full link,
I get all of the pics starting at #1. Some kind of buffer is being overrun.

I thought I was losing it when every picture that others spoke about, I couldn't find.

Those of us who like cats and have raised kittens more than once can truly appreciate the personalities shown in this series of pics.

I think I found the original source of these cat photos. There
are many more (including some evil dog photos):

Can anyone translate?
Unfortunately, I cannot read Chinese...but I am pretty sure that these photos did not come from a single photographer. A bunch of the shots of kittens have been circulating the net for quite some time (and have had different original sources, from what I can tell.)

The pic of the kitten bounding towards the camera is one that gets a lot of attention in Fark PS contests (It has, to the point of becoming one of the most detested cliches!)

See links:

(scroll to "cliche kitty")

this is a thumbnail of the original "cliche kitty" that was posted a few years ago:

(as an aside, some of the expert photoshoppers at Fark are quite talented at adding things like Domo-Kuns to photos in a very subtle way!)

Yes but there is basically no info on the page. The menu bar on the left is just an index to the different category of photos and the photos are without caption or explanation. The title on the top basically means "Photo Album" with a subtitle "Educational resource storage".

There is no info on the photographer(s) except on the main page that mention the owner of the site is a secondary school in china.

How about the text 1 level up at:

When I saw the title and poster name of this thread, I thought that you'd finally turned your 10D in for service and gotten it back - working perfectly. The sweet dream only lasted a few seconds - until I'd read the original post of the thread. It was a sweet dream indeed, giving me a glimpse of hope that my own 10D would be perfect after returning from AF-calibration.

Those running kittens... they just jump into the plane of sharp focus! Keep your camera frontfocused for sharp cats! ;)

The most important role in that razor sharp DOF, has been played by a good masking tecnique and a blurrying filter tecnique in PS.

Andrea.
But these photos surely inspire to get 85/1.2 or 400/2.8 no matter
what!!! LOL
with infinite patience. To get even a few shots as good as these
are would probably take someone like me many many tries. This
photographer is good. I'd like to know more about their methods.
